Liverpool Cyclists ??
I have had this badge a considerable time and as some of pre 1908 Volunteer Battalions of the Kings Liverpools had Cyclist Companies I had always assumed it was connected with them.
Have acquired some Liverpool VTC items in the last 12 months and having done some digging around see to how the individual VTC’s eventually fitted into the WW1 Volunteer Battalions I am beginning to wonder if this badge might have a connection to the VTC’s ? Anyone any thoughts please ? P.

Hello Peter,
Searching the Brit Lib newspaper archive it appears there was the Liverpool Volunteers Cycling Club active in the mid 1890s. There were only six references that I could find, last being 1897 and no mention of a badge unfortunately. The excerpt is from November 1895. Nice looking badge. All best S |
