Army Service Corps Badge Anomaly
After a bit of help with this badge which I picked up at the weekend at a boot sale.
Appears to be a white metal cap badge for the Army Service Corps which has had the slider snapped off and wire loops fitted. Is this just a field repair? Any thoughts appreciated. Regards Simon. |

Definitely w/m, not y/m with a w/m coating?
(It shows as having brassy coloured highlights on my screen). |

Leigh,
Looking again there are areas of the badge obverse which appear to have had a yellow metal coating though most has faded away or been rubbed off. Simon. |

It appears to be a standard GM badge with a nickel plating thats wearing off.

Thanks Simon,
Do you feel the rear lugs are as issued or a field repair or similar, there appears to be the remains of a slider fitting below the crown on the reverse. Simon. |
