Need help understanding Scottish Territorial officer badges

As an American, the Scottish Territorial badges are confusing. I understand that the volunteer battalions VB became territorials in 1908. I understand that some Scottish territorials wore different badges during WW1.
1. 4th n 5th Batt Royal Scots
2. Black Watch Batt without sphinx
3. 5th Batt Seaforth wore Celtic belt in circle.
4. Highland Light Infantry wore blank scroll and South Africa 1900 - 02 scroll
What I would like to know is when these units stopped wearing their distinctive badge and adopted the badge of their parent unit?
I saw something in one of my references talking about a 1922 change, but I still see badges dated after 1922.
Anyone who knows when the above units stopped wearing a distinctive badge, I would appreciate the education.

In 1916 the TF were granted the right to wear regular battlehonours replacing the blank scroll badges.

The same year the War Dept started issuing TF badges replacing those supplied by TF Associations.

A few TF units retained their TF badge designs such as the 4th/5th Seaforths and Glasgow Highlanders.

Territorial Black Watch officers did wear the Sphinx battle honour on their glengarry badges. However I do have a Territorial SBP I think from the 1960s
without a Sphinx.

The catalyst was the Military Service Act of 1916 that introduced conscription, whereby all men between certain ages were registered and then called up in their demographic group, and then largely sent to whatever part of the army that they were needed unless they had a special skill or family tie that directed them to a unit. This significant change effectively rendered differences between regular, Territorial and Service battalions as meaningless and reinforcements were merely sent by infantry base Depots to where they were needed. In those circumstances differences between badges no longer made any sense at all and so were discontinued as mentioned.
