Patch for Identification
I picked this up today from an army surplus store. It appears to be British, but I've never seen it before. I also appears to have been worn as it has been pressed down the middle. It is small, measuring only 3.5cm x 2.7 cm, and I think it shows an elephant carrying a log in its trunk. Any help on it would be appreciated.

The one in your link is the Squadron Crest of 27 Squadron RAF. The badge in post number 1 is that worn on the combat uniform by members of No.2 (MT) Squadron RAF, based at RAF Wittering.

Many thanks for the information, gentlemen. I shall now log it as being worn on combat uniform by members of 27 Squadron RAF.

Thanks for clarifying, Marc. I had not noticed your first identification, but have now noted that it is the badge worn by No 2 (Mechanical Transport) Sqn RAF. Your help is greatly appreciated.
