NVR Indian Badge?
Listed on e bay as Nagpur Volunteer Rifles, image attached , the crown looks very peculiar, unlike being associated with a British Indian Army/AFI unit, wonder if its is to the Nagpur Volunteer Rifles and has been misidentified does anybody know? Thanks .

Hi, do you know if it has a makers name on the back. And at the moment it looks very modern made, so could turn out to be a copy

National Volunteer Reserve
This badge looks right to me, just losing a lot of it's blackening (which seems to be paint!). There is what looks like a Gaunt tablet on the back of the crown, slightly obscured by the paint.
I have seen a cast copy of this badge, but the rear detail on this is much better, and the rear lugs look just right. Tim |

All blackened Indian badges that I have seen were painted, usually with a glossy sheen.
