Wearing of the Diving qualification badgr, Officers Royal Engineers.
Hello
If a Royal Engineers Officer has one of the Diving qualifications, do they wear the diving helmet badge? Or if an OR qualified diver was to be commissioned from the ranks, are they allowed to wear the diving helmet badge? And finally, if a RE soldier was to transfer Corps are they still allowed to wear the badge? Thank you Chris |

In a similar vein, some years ago I served with a Light Infantry officer who had transferred in from the RLC (good move !), he had previously been a "Box Chucker" (Air Despatcher) and continued to wear his Air Despatcher "wings" which is another badge that can be worn "in perpetuity"

During my time in Joint service units I worked with an RAF Gp Capt with Army AD brevet and para wings plus his RAF pilot wings. I also know an RAF officer with submariner dolphins on his mess kit lapel which does confuse the pilots!
