A/A Prince of Wales Collar

Hi Bess. Thanks for that. I dug mine out and they are indeed, gold on the back. I'll mark them probably/possibly PWV and set about finding a more recent pair like yours for RWY.

I have the 3 types (1 piece, 2 piece , 2 piece brass lugs) with my PWV Lancs and a 2 piece with my Wiltshire Yeomanry. Acceptable so far????

The reference to Wessex Yeomanry has thrown me though. I'm presuming from the comments they have continued to wear the old a/a Wiltshire collars and not something made in a similar metal to the cap?

NB London olympics even though shown as being worn by members of B squadron this is incorrect as the '' t r f '' never reached Wyemouth
Before any body states the obvious I know indevidual squadron badges are now not worn Not high jacking post but reply re Wiltshire yeo collars

Indeed Jerry - the KRH ones however are distinctly different, if not the same 'generic' design and size.

I picked up a not quite matching pair (it is only a slight difference in angle of the scrolls & one is gold behind rather than silver on the other) of a different pattern Prince of Wales collars and wondered what they are, potentially to different units.

They appear to be from a different die Jerry.
One could have been produced recently so KRH ,the other prior to 1992 so Royal Hussars. They could be different makers from a similar time period. Very hard to tell without a makers mark.

The small PWV collars were in later years worn by the Prince Of Wales Division Band. Just a normal anodised lug to the rear .
