Royal Monmouthshire Royal Engineers
I recently brought this badge to the R MONS RE as a or gilding metal/white metal badge. On closer inspection I feel it is a Gilt/Silver plate badge.
Can members look at the pictures, front and rear and tell me which it is, please?

Jerry,
it's modern.. bright brass and whitemetal..Firmin are knocking these out for the collectors/PRI market! Although it may look better quality than it is, if it were silvered/Gilt it would be an officers badge and would be on long lugs! Your badge is still worth a fiver or so! Andy |

ANDY, Thanks for your reply. I will stick in with the OR badges.

Jerry, Here is the Officer's version. There are a few more RMRE badges in a small album I've put together. Kevin |
