The badge in question is at best a blazer badge applied to the beret, at worst a fantasy badge. It is not a badge worn by the 1 Cdn Parachute Battalion. Officers wore bi-metal cap badges, and ORs wore the dark plastic cap badge. At the end of the war they were replaced by brass issues.

That seller has a lot of ‘theatrical replicas’ and mucked with items for sale. Also the infamous fantasy RNAS airship badge. And all seem to be selling well!
