Hi Sappersson,

It was easier, with less shipping cock-ups, for me to issue the invoice directly when I know which country the book is going to be sent to.

From a potential purchasers email address, country the book is to be shipped to and number of copies required I can generate the correct PayPal invoice for the correct country of shipping for the correct total.

See:

http://www.aacapbadges.com/order.html

and all should be explained.

Hope this is OK - the ordering method seems to be working very well.

Regards

Chris

Hi Guys,

The first lot of paid books, sent last week, seem to be arriving at least in the UK.

Not sure about other locations yet.

Regards

Chris

Received my copy yesterday!

Many thanks Chris!

A brilliant book and the first one I have seen that shows both sides of badges.

Well done!

Mick

Hi Chris, Safely received my copy this morning. First impressions - well packed, well presented, lovely photos - now to see if I can absorb any information from it!
Cheers,

Hi Tom,

Can't do anything about the postage I'm afraid and I do actually take a personal hit here for each book sold.

Regards

Chris

Copy arrived today in perfect nick, everything a badge book should aspire to be, and then some! Benchmark.
Even if you don't have any affinity with A/A badges give this one a peek just to see what (most) other badge books are missing.

Rgds,

Thomas.

Collecting AA cap-badges has, until now, been somewhat befogged with vague ideas and misinformation, some of which has been perpetrated by previous publications and at least one unscrupulous dealer, as well as that truculent bullshitter one occasionally meets at militaria fairs.

A noble book, is ‘No Bull’. Although it is much more than a Catalogue of Clothing & Necessaries, at its most basic level, this excellent hardback is a highly detailed record of every AA cap-badge ever officially produced for the British Army. In part the book might be seen as a distillation and expansion of the entire Anodised Aluminium section of the British and Commonwealth Military Badges website, greatly expanded, comprehensively explained and superbly illustrated, supported by tables, lists and important information about the design and manufacture of each entry.

The standard of books dedicated to collecting military badges is often first class and the level of research that goes into them is also very high. Accurate as well as beautiful, it is clear that this publication sets a new standard, in providing a very precise record of what is what and what is not, or should not, be desirable and interesting to the collector of Agonised Ally cap-badges. It seems doubtful whether this standard of printing can be bettered in any important respect.

In sorting facts from the fakes and fantasies, the author seems to have packed half a lifetime’s experience into one volume. The book is obviously a product of intensive and patient research and Chris Marsh’s personable and humorous capacity for detail is clearly prodigious. The foundations of all this work are the outstanding images; ‘AA Badges’ is characterised by very high quality illustrations, with clear colours and exact outlines. Accuracy such as this gives exceptional merit to the work, especially when viewed from a technical aspect.

Reassuringly lavish, the book is greatly to the interest and utility of all military badge collectors and therefore must be considered extraordinarily good value. May all those people who have ever derided, scorned or ridiculed AA cap-badges find enlightenment within its glossy pages and join in offering a respectful ‘Hats off’ to Hagwalther, for producing this useful, handsome and timely tome.
