Default Scottish Thistle Badge

Hello,

I'd be interested to learn if this Scottish thistle badge is fake or original.

And if original, would someone know who wore it and from what time period.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,

Invest

Thistle from the Scots Guards shoulder title worn above brass letters SG.
Worn on the shoulder strap of khaki Service Dress. Replaced in the 1960s by anodised version and replaced again by embroidered titles in the 1980s when it was found that metal titles damaged the (new) SA80 rifle carried at the slope arms.
