Default Army Co-Operation RAF

Donated by the son of a WW2 RAF Defiant Target Tug and C-47 Pilot in 1984 and still unidentified. Very well made and clearly designed to be worn on khaki BD or RAF equivalent. There was an Army Co-Operation Command RAF and Army Co-Operation Squadrons. But who could have worn this - and why has nobody seen another example?

Nice badge, looking forward to comments. Is it Theatre made? Is it possible to see the back?

I'll have to unmount (dismount?) it from a display, but rest assured it is machine embroidered, therefore less likely to be Theatre made. I'll post an image of the reverse IDC.

Question

Hello Mike, thankyou for showing the back. Sadly I cannot find any reference to this badge. I wonder if the museum of Army flying might be able to help? Very interesting badge, hope you get some answers soon. Best wishes Dave.
