Royal Irish, Connaught Rangers, other Irish
Learned friends,
Would be grateful for assistance in identifying the attached. I have seen similar badges both collar and pagri to the Connaught Rangers, this however is bit larger, possible 'Helmet badge' to the Royal Irish? Irish Militia? Connaught Rangers. The finish is similar to other badges i own as 'gilt' type, not plain brass or white metal. Any ideas, direction or references gratefully recieved. That thread is most helpful, i have Jourdain's regimental history so will have a look to see if it is mentioned. The badge is owned by a friend looking for a positive ID. All other comments appreciated. Best Regards - Mark
