You need to take much better photos and much closer, you may be disappointed with some of them though.

I totally agree.

Best I can see the ones circled look good candidates for tall orb fakes.

Thank you all for your reply's.

Yes there are a few fakes there, I knew that when I bought them.

I paid £1,75 each for them, I just wanted a Artillery display as my father was in the RA, 1930 and in WW2.

Photos taken from phone camera, so not good I know, should get a scanner but at my age!.

Royal Malta Artillery is certainly genuine, as i haven't come across any RMA bi-metal fake ones as yet, or any other for that matter. Haven't had any cast ones in my hands, but i believe they would be period-made and genuine.

Nice display however

Hi KOMalta

Thank you, I enjoyed making it at the time, it dose have perspex front, that I cut to shape.

Yes, it feels and looks a genuine one, I will try to post photos of them when I can.

Picked this up because I liked it.

Artillery cap badge with a moving wheel.

What are your feelings, on them having the moving wheel.

The malta and moving wheel are the only two that are good, the others are all the same fake badges.

Hi magpie

I paid £1,75 for the fake ones, which I bought in 1989, it was at Southsea, and they were holding the 50th Anniversary of the second World War.

There were many Veterans there, I shook their hands and thanked them.

There were reenactors there, and stalls selling all sorts of military items, I picked mine up at one of them, the dealer did not sell them as genuine ones.

I was happy with them, and they made a good display.

Regards
Gerwyn
