Default Royal Bucks Hussars Visor Cap

Acquired this cap recently ( yeomanry caps are hard to come by) a rare cap with a crown in a contrasting colour.
Not certain of the date, but the regiment was converted to artillery in 1920.

Your Royal Buck's Hussars visor cap is really pretty spectacular... both cap and badge in near flawless condition... a very interesting cap and unique cap!

David

Thanks much David.
These Yeomanry caps are quite hard to find.

very nice and I would think the cap is pre 1920, from the shape of it, the chinstrap etc

Dark blue, like the band .
I can't think of another British cap that has the crown/ top in a contrasting colour to the body.
Found it on Ebay.

Thanks, Jerry.
The cap definitely looks pre-WWI; unfortunately, the label has been obliterated.
It has no mothing whatsoever.

Default Cap colours

Bucks Yeo in 1904 went from green to blue uniforms so your cap would have been used then, but only for a couple of years as it looks like they went to standard blue and red 1906ish
