Default RAF Recruiter badges

Hi all,

A couple of RAF Recruiter badges I have that may be of interest. The lapel was recently acquired and have not seen before. It is made by Thomas Fattorini. Measures 28mm across.

I wonder if any one has any knowledge of this one and can give a rough era when it may have been in use. It looks well used so may be old. The discolouring to the red enamel may be a production fault as it is not chipped.

The Pensioner Recruiter patch is used and the type is listed in the late Dave Parsons file book.

Regards,

Graham

Graham,

What a fantastic find, that’s the first time I’ve seen the lapel badge. Many thanks for sharing.
