Dave went home yesterday (Thursday 15/11), but alas Kath has just rung to let me know that they have taking him back in with chest pains!

Take it easy Dave!

Andy

Only just seen this - my thoughts for a quick recovery Dave. Can only think that you will get the best care and be patched up in no time.

Stay strong, cheers Dean.

Dave,

I hope this finds you feeling, and doing, better. Enjoy today. That's why it's called the present.

Guys,
I spoke to Dave earlier and he is fine (ish) the illness is operation related and not what he was taken in for last time!

Here's hoping he's out of hospital for good soon!

Andy

Just us lot checking in from time to time to see that he's on the mend and no sudden setbacks.

Dave's, Well ken't as they say around my neck of the woods and Popular member.

Default I'm back..........................I hope.

Hello gentlemen,

Three weeks ago, I would not have thought that spending a few minutes on a keyboard could be so tiring, I would write exhausting but that would be a little OTT ??

Again I am lost for words and this time, those I do find will probably be inadequate ! My heartfelt thanks go out to each and everyone of you and as you would expect, I have found the odd minute now and again to do some serious thinking !!

The kindness and compassion shown by you, has in my opinion, raised the bar on the human reaction to someone's distress, in this case, my own. I have to say that I really was frightened and trust me, not a lot frightens me ( well, Kath maybe ?? ), as Andy eluded to, this is a Badge Forum but your reaction has proved it to be much more.

The next couple of weeks will define my condition, at the moment I am still quite sore and very weak, I tire easily and I will do in the future when Kath asks me to do something, how long she will stand for that, I do not know ??

Kath, Jayne and the lads, Stephen and Peter, have also suffered but were a ' Godsend 'and without them supporting Kath, I think she may have lost it ? as it is now, time will tell if either of us are over this episode.

There is so much I want to say yet when I try to write, my mind goes blank ( yes, I know that's normal for me ), I will say I still have difficulty in understanding how I appear to have made so many friends, I know my short comings, but I am what I am, the adage " a friend in need "etc is very, very true.

Thanks also to those who have called me, those phone calls never failed to cheer me up and lastly, with no apologies for singling him out, my thanks go to Andy, knowing him as I do, probably better than anyone else, once again I can say I am proud to have him consider me as one of his friends, sorry mate, a little personal there but ??? and I mean no disrespect to any of other mates here.

I will be back

Dave.
