Default Durham County Constabulary Helmet+jacket
hi chaps,

this lot was offered to me as pre-ww2.
while Police is way out of my field, I assume the badge is QEII, but still: is there a chance the jacket and helmet are actually older than late 1950's?

The helmet is 1960's. The tunic does not appear to be police related.

If you can post an image of the Collar Badges and Button, a better identification may be obtained.

It looks like it maybe a Number 1 Dress Jacket for a WOI in the RASC.

obtaining any further photos will a bit of a problem because the seller is rather unwilling to share any more with me. It all looks a bit of a shady business anyway so I'll give it a pas.
If I do get any more pics however, I'll post them here.
