Default 8th Kings Royal Irish Hussars little bundle

Due to the current situation I have not made any purchases for a while and then this little bundle came my way.
I am not a fan of 'Bullion' badges but this was included. I assume it is an officers pre 1952 beret badge. Does any one else have one in their collection?

Thanks for looking
Steve

Steve. Yes worn on the beret by officers and the RSM. I've got one in my Irish Hussars album.

I'm positive I've seen both Mike. Neither are pocket money prices either.

Of course there is no way to know if it was worn during the war or after, but it is rather scarce with the KC. Bullion beret badges like these do seem to bring relatively high prices, but I have never been particularly fond of them. Trying to wire embroider something that small usually yields rather poor looking results in my opinion, and adding wear and tear to them certainly doesn't help improve the appearance!

That is one of the better efforts I have seen. It depends upon the skill of the embroiderer to a great degree with these type of badges.
