Default RAF WARRANT OFFICER 2 RANK

I have for some while been studying the abolishment and subsequent obsolescence of the WO2 rank within the RAF. Correspondence in the RAF News in 2008 mentioned personal sightings, by correspondents, of the brass WO2 Crown rank badge being worn during 1939. I would be most pleased to hear from any member who has dated and named photographic evidence of the badge being worn after 1939.
