Default Tank Corps cap badge long slider

Hello gentlemen,

i have got this Tank Corps cap badge from a german collector.
I have compared it to several badges in the albums, also with several fakes i have already learnt, and i can not find details that would point it out as a fake.
The leaves, berries, voided areas, details of the tank are the identical or very close to those shown in the forum.
The slider is still about 46mm long after the kink.
Do i have now a good one, from the period ?
Thanks for any comments and answers,

kind regards
Markus

I like the look of it, I'm no expert on tanky badges, but it's a nice clean strike, and the slider looks good.

Thank you Chris,
that is what i thought about it. Here one more pic to show some details, a little bit polished but still there.

Best regards
Markus

It doesn't have the so called ring spanner track adjustor seen on the common fake type.

Looks like the lop sided crown repro to me, more evident from your pic of the reverse. It may have been replaced also but that shape and length of slider looks categorically wrong for the period also.

I’ve attached some lop sided crown examples on incorrect loops. The badge from a design point of view is otherwise very convincing in terms of style and often it’s quality.

Also see the badge in post #3 here: https://www.britishbadgeforum.com/fo...ad.php?t=15816

Thanks Luke,
much appreciated !
Very helpfull link, also the further link in #4 !
My badge seems to be made with the same die as your examples, obviously a "crooked" crown. For me the best indicator is the difference between the crosses left/right on the crown. On the right side the center with the dot is visible, while the left one seems to disappear in the background ......
I took a look with magnifier on the badge in K&K Vol.1 p.294 and it seems to have the same crooked crown.
So this could be an older repro/fake/restrike from the 1970s/80s (makes it not better) ?

Thanks again and best regards
Markus
