Hi Actionoke
I think it's a restrike. According to all the info that I've read here on the forum, the lugs should be brass on these badges, your one has copper lugs.
Cheers,
Alex

Are they lugs that have been squeezed flat or are they pins on that badge?

May i add this one to the thread ?

This one is offered on eBay Germany, the seller has also a (damaged) shako plate and two buttons of the 24th Foot for sale.
I like some details of the Glengarry and for me the lugs also dont look bad. But a there is a strange "patina" on the obverse in deeper areas, artificial ? A genuine badge or another restrike/fake ?
Thanks for any comments,
kind regards
Markus

The 24th Glengarry does not look to be correct I’m afraid. It also appears to be artificially aged.

Thanks Luke !
The strange patina and badly embossed background of the letters made me doubt. Better to ask for help before bidding ......

Kind regards
Markus
