Default Just Want to Confirm My Thouhgts

I am pretty sure I am right in thinking this is a Sea Cadets Corps patch, but wnat to be sure. If it is, who would wear it and can you give me some idea of the training they might have had? If it's not for the cadest can you advise what it is.

My very sincere thanks,

Terry

Possibly for the "Adult" FA Inst in a Sea Cadet Corps unit.

Thank you gentlemen!

It does not seem to be a grade that I would see a cadet wearing unless it just indicated a cadet rank with first aid training. More likely it seems an adult instructor in the cadets.

Hi Terry,

The badge is for "Petty Officer First Aid Instructor". The SCC under a trade badge would identify the wearer as a cadet instructor as opposed to a regular serving Senior Rate.

From what I am told, your badge (blue on a white background) is or was worn on No 8 or working dress.

Petty Officer Cadets have two stars above their trade badges and no SCC under.

Sadly, I left the Sea Cadets many years ago due to family and work commitments, so am a little out of touch.

You might find this of interest

All best,

Andrew
