and many happy returns of the season to you all from God's own country.

I happen to know the memsahib has been trolling through Amazon and there are some very "booky" looking parcels under the tree in our cottage. I just hope the pigs don't knock them into the fire - I've bloody told her to keep the pigs in the kitchen with the chickens.

G'day Hussar 100, how did you go with the pigs and chickens ?

I got a couple of nice bottles and books but no leggy blonde !

One of the chickens had a fatal injury mate; it fell into the oven.

I got loads of books which will keep me off the streets for a long time. All that plus a lovely glass of a fine Chablis, after a refreshing early morning Buck's Fizz, which is about the only drink I ever take these days.
