Badge - Flaming Grenade with Cross, Horns and Crossed Rifles
My husband has a large collection of British Empire cap badges -- but this one has us stumped! We assume it's British - but maybe not? It measures 2.5 in/63 mm tall x 1.75 in/44 mm wide. We found this forum in searching the web and are hoping you can help with identification. Thanks in advance!

I believe it's an Italian Bersaglieri cap badge, similar one shown here.

Definitely Italian.
But Bersaglieri have a more elaborate, wavy flame. Though I am not sure what exactly this is (can not find it in Guido Rosignoli). I think the cross in the center makes it one from Italy as a kingdom (thus WW-2 or earlier).
