17L or 17/21L FSC Cap 'Motto' position.

I don't think the position of the Motto is correct? I was always under the impression that the 17L & 17/21L wore their Motto in the lower skirt of the Cap as per attached image. This I understand was peculiar to these regiments, and was said to be in order that the 'Motto' being white metal could be properly seen, as on the white background it is not so pronounced.
