Thanks for having a look and generating discussion. (keep me on my toes!!)
Here's why I identify the subject badge as a reproduction. Attached Photo 1. Here are the points I identified on a previous analysis of a similar reproduction badge: a. Small diagonal line going between Pegasus and Belepheron’s back is missing. b. Only 6 feathers on the bottom of the wing, should be 8. c. Spear passes through wing at +/- feather 5 and 6, should pass through lower at feathers 4 & 5. d. Missing ribbon at back of spear, should have another piece between spear and bit below. e. And there’s more fiddly details of the shape of bits of Pegasus' anatomy... Attached Photo 2. (Credit. Edit of a photo from forum user Tcrown) This is a photo of a good badge, exhibiting the correct coarse diagonal weave. Attached Photo 3. (Credit. Edit of a photo from forum user Tcrown) Good badge reverse showing diagonal weave and bleed through.

I am not disputing they are reproduction but I am disputing the reason for your opening post which says,
".....a price that represents the items as authentic...." US$90 is Not a price that represents them as authentic in the slightest. A price if they were authentic would be US$400. ebay is awash with fake Airborne and Special Forces insignia, these are just one of many. regards

Still, $90 is ridiculous for a $2 fake, so I think we can assume the seller is either ignorant or trying to deceive.
