Default Military Medallions and Boxing Medal

Hi all, a friend has asked for me to dipose of a lot of Commemorative coins some to the 1990,s Wildlife, some the Royal Flying Scotsman and other such, even American, I know nothing of these have just googled Montgomery Coin (£36.50!) Have just pulled a few out of the bag "Military related" some German Paratroopers and Air Force (hope you don't mind me posting these?) will delete if a problem, one has :- 999/1000 ?? Is this Silver and Gold plated?

Anyhow would rather these offered onto Forum members as I know some members have a wide range of collecting interests, if this post is out of order then tell me it can be moved or deleted but hopefully some may have an interest in these, But! I have a lot more and would like assistance in finding out a true value of items (this can be lowered to give buyer a deal, and I can give Kieth some money? ) at least that's the plan?

Waterloo Coin set all there in good shape save the mist important I guess the Central one (£250 on internet?) A new cover empty costs £4.99 as this is used!

Boxing Medal "Philips of Aldershot" looks to be unhallmarked Silver and Heavy no name engraved?

Thank you in advance, if out of Order please delete or move or have me delete that which may be offensive? Cheers billy

I would guess it was a "limited edition" , number 999 out of 1000 issued.

Edit : Hadn't checked the pictures , the German 999/1000 indicates that it is 24 carat gold !
Quote:
The numbers indicate parts of pure gold per thousand. So 9-carat gold is 37.5% pure gold, and 24-carat gold has 99.9% pure gold.
Edit 2 : These are cheap 'commemorative' items that have been mass produced in China .

Gold plated brass construction. NOT gold.

Hi Mike, thanks for the response, thought they where only plated.

The Boxing Medal though seems to be when the RAF Won the Competition in 1938 (googled what was on the Medal) unfortunately thats my limit, it doesn't extend to finding out the person who won or if the Runner up was Army, Navy or Air Force? Nice item.

Billy,

The Waterloo set were a free give away on line in 2015. Interesting but of little value if any.

regards

Hi Billy,

Found a site that has early results , the site is still 'under development but they plan to have :
Quote:
ISBA Championships results 1919-1979
So perhaps if you contact them they may be able to help.
