Curious if worn by Civil Defence, HG, Cadet staff which theatre would they be made in? I assume we’re not talking Old Vic or Kilburn Empire.
I hadnt actually looked at the back but was going on the face! But the popper studs on the back lend weight to them being theatre made. By that I meant RFC WW1 period wings, the RFC serving in Africa, Italy the Middle East, Palestine and other places.

Often veterans serving in WW2 would wear their WW1 vintage wings, although tailors produced them in WW2, the styles being distinctively different.

I have or have seen photos of Home Guard, Civil Defence , Royal Observer Corps and Air Training Corps officers wearing wings, although it's not always easy to identify WW2 produced RFC wings from 1930s RAF wings.
