E. Stillwell & Son London

I have a button with the back mark E. Stillwell and Sons London as the back mark written within what looks like a belt with buckle... from looking it up how the name is written given the date pre 1840. However the front of the button has the kings crown. So this has confused me somewhat. Does anyone have a reference at all to help date buttons? How long where E.Stillwell and sons making buttons for... thanks for you help 😊

This was once full of Norfolk regt buttons. Box is dated 1910 or 1919

That’s interesting, from doing google search came up with a database but only has pre 1840... do you know when the stopped producing buttons?
