Default ATS Signals

Are the signals badges mentioned so far NOT worn by officers?

I see that WRAC has been mentioned but not ATS. The ATS were recruited into the Special Duties Branch of the secret Auxiliary Units. After an interview at Harrods with Beatrice Temple they were selected because of their clear (posh?) voices. After attending an OCTU in Edinburgh they were commisioned then sent out to man an Out station, a small radio station. It was part of a secret radio network.

I have several photographs of them in uniform (battledress jackets) and can see no trade badges but one is wearing the blue/white diamond on her upper sleeve and no formation sign. Is this a trade badge or just to indicate that she was working on signals?

Most of them wore a small Royal Signals badge over their left breast pocket.

They had the knickname of "Secret Sweaties" within Aux.
