Default For comment: 43rd Bn CEF cap badges

Hello.

I am on the hunt for a 43rd Bn CEF cap badge in white metal. As my knowledge is limited I am proceeding cautiously, so hope it's okay to get a pre-purchase assessment of two badges I'm considering from the more knowledgeable folks here.

The example with the smaller "43" is the second I've seen available with the metal around the lion's tail un-removed.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, the detail on the small 43 example has poor details. The thistles and leaves in particular. I prefer the large 43 example.

Sorry Redman. A very tardy reply.

I'm interested as my grandfather was in the 43rd in the Great War and one of the photos I have of him shows him in his tam which sports what is a very bright cap badge which I am taking to be white metal.
