Default Leicestershire Territorials cap badge, can anybody give it the OK for me please?

Hi guys,

Can anybody let me know if the attached Leicstershire TA badge is a good one or not please?

It has a crimp mark on the slider and I don't think the tiger has an owl like face?

Thanks,

Phil

it should look like an ordinary ww1 leic badge but without a top scroll.

Phil

There are at least two very good albums dedicated to the "The Tigers"

All that blacking should be an early warning sign, The badge should be 90 years old and that one has no age. The construction is wrong, the slider is a modrn repro shape etc etc.

Hi Phil,

Yes the one you show is not a good one at all as already pointed out. I have a number of these on show in my Leicesters album and worth a gander at good aged badges, crimped sliders and brazing holes not a bad guide.

Cheers Dean

Dean, nice set you have there. I took a look at a TF one I have that I doubted due to the non voided tail section. I'm glad to see there are the same in your album and also without sweat holes on the scroll. I think I'll keep it for now, unless someone can point out anything else that's wrong with it.

Sorry about the badge Phil.

Simon.
