Smile Hertfordshire Yeomanry

While looking out a few bits I thought that collectors might like to see some items from my small Hertfordshire Yeomanry collection.

The orders for D company 1914 whilst at Great Baddow, I like the instructions about uniform and hats.

The photo frame has an unusual badge which may be a sweetheart fixed to the lower part on which I would welcome thoughts and comments.

Greetings Rob.

Splendid items, can't help with the badge though, however, I suspect if not a sweetheart, it's a scarce item.

Regards.

Hi Rob,
I believe it's a sweetheart which would have had blue enamel around the lettering of Hertford Yeomanry mate,

The badge on the frame is a sweetheart/mufti badge that would originally have had a blue enamel background to the scroll.

Oh alright then, it is a sweetheart badge that would have originally had blue enamel around it somewhere.

I'm wrong again........................but you never know.

Cool Herts Yeomanry

Thanks chaps for the comments, yes, I think it is a sweetheart brooch minus the enamel, blue or whatever colour was used.

Any comments on the orders of the day for 1914?

Rob
