Yes Peter that is a very nice Badge on the BCH, I wonder if Linnet Road up by Sefton Park 'Aigburth end' may be some connection to their name?

Paul,

I wondered that, three of my friends had a flat in a big old house in Linnet Lane in the 1970`s.

I cant think of anywhere in the locality that might have been the HQ of a militia regiment but then we have the example of Church Stile House and the Lancashire Hussars of which there is nothing remaining now on the ground.

I have several pieces to the 2nd, Liverpool Linnets. Officers shako plate, pouch belt plate, waist belt clasp, and blue cloth helmet plate.
