Chris
I can't help you I'm afraid and perhaps cheekily I wondered what your comments would be on a 32 Scottish Signals variant as it's a little different to the one on your site.

Weighs a tonne, not anodised. Jimmy lower than yours and the motto in gilt. The quoit looks to be rivetted to the saltire with two rivets at 45deg and 225deg. Bought from a dealer friend in Erskine.

I'd be interested in any comments.

As a former PSI(REME) with 32 (Scottish) Signal Regiment (Volunteers) LAD REME (1972-3) I think I recognise the badge as the Regimental Pipers badge . The rest of the Regiment wore the standard "Jimmy" on a patch of Grant red tartan.

Default Unknown Pipers badge

Dear Dubaiguy.
Nothstafford the Ex PSI (REME) is very close.
What you have there is a unit made version of a 52 Lowland Infantry Division Signal Regiment Pipers badge. I have one that If I knew how to do it I would post on this site, with a Kings Crown on a Grant Tartan. I am afraid the version you have there is somewhat crude.
32 (Scottish) Signal Regiment (V) did not come about until after the 1967 TA Reorganisation. Prior to that the name of the Regiment was from the 1947 Post war TA Reorginisation and indeed was 52 Lowland Infantry Division Signal Regiment.
If you would like to see the version that I will be putting on my site in the future please let me have your email address and I will send you a photo.
The reason I have this information is the badge that is going onto my site is actually owned by Ewen Cameron Adjutant of 32 (Scottish) Sig Regt 1981/82
and I also have a photo of him in his Pipers Uniform if you are interested.

Kind Regards Chris Walker
