Default East Surrey scrolless abdge - SNCOs FSC?

I recollect that there was a thread on the wearing of East Surrey cap badges with the scroll removed by SNCOs on their FSCs in the late 1930s? Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks

Alan

I know the officers wore a silver and gilt collar in their FSC's. I have a photo taken in Clandon House before it burnt down of one on display.

The scroll has been carefully removed so I can only assume that it's some sort of affection. It's not a break but a deliberate and careful removal.

I had one of these in the past and was also very carefully trimmed. I did ask at Clandon but no luck.
