Default Somerset mystery badge

I have been told this badge seems authentic but my initial belief that it was an authentic badge looks groundless. Any ideas?

Default Somerset badge

Thank you. I am going through my late father's badge collection - keeping some and selling others. I do not want to mislead potential buyers (which is what seems to have happened to my dad). I presume the fake Somerset badge has no value?

This badge is of a design that does not exist in any reference book that I can find nor is it recorded in the Somerset military Museum's collection in Taunton castle.

It is widely sold online by known fakers for £5-6.

Default Another with no Jellalabad

This is a 1902 Jennens badge from my collection with no obvious signs of the Jellalabad having been removed and is normal cap size. Any thoughts on it?
