Naval Canteen Service Article
I am making early preparations for an article for The Military Heraldry Society's Journal to mark next year's Centenary of NAAFI.
I have found the following two naval pattern cap badges one with KC, the other QC. Does any member have examples of others or have detailed photos showing the NCS's badges being worn? All contributors will get a free copy of the resulting article. PM me if you can help please. Jon |

One very useful contribution from a Forum member so far but others still sought.

Reviving this thread after nearly a year as no luck last time.
Still looking for information on the two NCS cap badges shown and also for any photos that show NCS members in badged uniforms. Any help appreciated. Jon |

Sorry Jon, cannot help you there. All I have are some NAAFI / Navel canteen patches.
If you are at RAF Scampton on the 18th (confirmed it is on) you can see them in the flesh so to speak. Jerry

Jerry,
Great pics thanks. Not going to Scampton so would it be possible to have another image of the top left hand badge with more white space to the left side to make it easier to crop. Any idea on the date of the NAAFI-NCS tape? Jon |

Jon, here you go... The NAAFI/NCS tape is modern, cannot give a date but it has hook & loop on the rear.
I have the NAAFI canteen manager in red and looking for the gold colour one. I have also seen this picture of a NAAFI Leading hand patch which I am also after. Hope the 1st picture helps. Jerry
