Here's a previous thread where they were described as "coffin" shaped, more dramatic perhaps but with hindsight less easy to search for.

Thanks gents longer than I thought it came about from a conversation with a fellow collector regarding a spurious T4 Norfolk title in white metal. It was was a wrongun I’m sure as was he. One of the things I didn’t like was the lugs but you’re always at school.

Ive had a look at a lot of Cavalry shoulder titles for regiments that were amalgamated in 1922 which would suggest that the shoulder titles were made before 1922 (in theory).
All of the Ors titles have hex lugs however the smaller officers titles have normal round copper lugs. I hope that this will help. Regards Phil.
