Default Artillery or Engineer Sign

This came to me as Royal Artillery Units Gibraltar.

But what should be blue is purple. So would this be and Engineer Units? Or just a wrong color?

Thank you
John

Default Badge wear

To me this just shows the power of the sun on a badge worn in the Mediterranean.

Albeit faded, it's the sign of RA Units, Gibraltar. Variations on the "key" design were worn by Anti-Aircraft (Artillery) Units, Gibraltar and by 18 Defence Regiment RA, Gibraltar.
