Badge with two/three slides
I have come into possesion of the following Badges. I'm happy that they are from the Corps of Royal Engineers and the two with grenades are officers collar badges. But the larger one although pretty sure is authentic I cant find information about it. On its reverse are what appear to be 2/3 slides there is one from top behind the crown and 2 across the bottom attached behind the motto. The badge is also curved.
I wonder if this is an original which has been modified? The wheel of the carraige is slightly loose and appears to be held on by a pin. The small enamelled basdge I think is a modern lapel pin/badge. Any comment welcome. Last edited by simmo; 19-04-12 at 04:50 PM. |

Simmo, the two collar badges are Royal Artillery (seven flamed grenade) as opposed to nine for the Royal Engineers, the gun cap badge is an Officers Service Dress bronzed Royal Artillery. The three fixings are normal for this badge.
Cheers Tony.
