Lt Percy Francis West RFC (Australian)
Mates,
Can you give any details on how and wear this officer meet his end. He is list on the Karkee War Memorial in India. He served with the AIF with the RANBT (Royal Australian Naval Bridging Train) as a AB Driver and was made Petty Officer before getting a commission into the RFC 11th April 1917. I have he is listed as died in accident or DOD ? 24th Mar 1918. Can you give the details of his death and what Sqn's he served in if known.Also any combat reports or a photo of him were would one look?? Cheers |

A brief look at AIR76 suggests he died in Hospital, his papers are very incomplete and confirm his next of kin as Mrs C M West, Military Road, Largs Bay, South Australia, he was appointed as a Flying Officer with number 30 Squadron on the 12th of April 1917, he was invalided to India on the 28th of January 1918, hospitalised on the 1st of March 1918 and died on the 24th of that same month.
