WW1 Turkish Button ?

I believe this is a Turkish button, possibly WW1 period, but I'm not sure.

Can anyone translate the Persian or Arabic inscription on this button.

The button was made by * J.COMPTON & SON * LONDON

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is an Egyptian police button, WWI or earlier, and a general issue.
Attached is a provincial police button from the same era.
