Question scottish cap badge ???

Good evening,

I need your help to identify this cap badge :

size : 55 mm / 58mm

It makes me think of the Royal Scots but I have found kidney of similar.
the one who gets closer is that of :

Duke of Connaught & Strathearn's own Cap town Highlanders-6th South African infantry
cox - ref 3162 - p336 & 337

is it in 2 parts?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Kind regards.

Michel

Hi
It looks likely to be the back part of this badge to the Royal Scots regt.
Glengarry cap badge worn 1871 to 1890.

Similar part-badge, similar condition, same measurements give or take a millimetre or two, aquired on this forum 10 months ago - but I don't know what it is either.

I agree with Leigh and Parabellum. Royal Scots or Royal Regiment. Regards Jeff
