Default QARANC cloth shoulder titles

Can anybody tell me when the QARANC last wore cloth shoulder titles? I have a pair in the usual curved style, 'Q.A.R.A.N.C.' in off-white/grey on scarlet background. I have seen pictures of WW2 nurses in battledress wearing them and assume they were worn until the BD was phased out, but have they been worn since on the tunic? Thanks for any help offered.

As far as I know they were phased out when the BD went. I do not recall seeing any QARANC personal wearing a cloth title but they may have worn metal/aa titles.

The grey and scarlet titles disappeared with battledress.

The wartime QAIMNS wore white on maroon titles and there are also examples of the QARANC lettered titles in those colours which were worn before the introduction of the grey and scarlet versions.

Here are a few examples and I thought I would add in the Territorial Army Nursing Service (T.A.N.S.) title.

Thanks to all for the replies. It's as I suspected, my wife was a QA nursing sister 1966-69 and she didnt remember the titles. They came in a bag of of QA stuff bought at an antiques fair, with half a dozen red cloth pips as seen on Lt Laverick's BD above.

This cartoon, by one of her patients, is captioned, "Dear me! Your temperature is right up again!" Say no more......
