Default Manchester Uniforn

Hello members....can anyone date these items please and provide any information re titles and cap. I believe this man served in Egypt...thank you in advance

Geoff,

What you have is a pre-1908 uniform and FS Cap to the 2nd VB Manchester Regiment. QVC buttons indicate a pre- 1902 issue but were worn well into the 1900's

Very identifiable on B&W photos by their bright yellow facings.

If you let me have his name I will check him out for you as I collect to the 2nd VB and have quite a bit of info.

A very nice couple of items.

You don't need to collect to a particular regiment to appreciate a nice item ( or in this case items ) to it. Always good to see volunteer uniform items.
