Default Identify NZ patch worn in Vietnam

Can some one please identify the cloth patch shown. It is listed at a Signals badge worn by a New Zealander in Vietnam. It is not NZ manufactured as far as I can tell. Is it RNZI Company's attached to Australian Regiment?

It definitely looks like a Signals Patch, though army based on my limited knowledge. Sorry, but cannot say if Vietnam era or even if NZ. But looks like it has some nice age to it. I have one similar without a number in my collection.

Could it be connected to Support Company 4 RAR/NZ (Anzac) Battalion?

Quote:
Fourth Battalion Royal Australian Regiment (4 RAR) (4RAR/NZ Anzac Battalion)
2 Tours: 20 Jan 68 - 30 May 69, 1 May 71 - 12 Mar 72
They had a Signals Platoon.

Example on IWM website :

Quote:
badge. A diamond divided evenly horizontally white over dark blue, with the figure '4' in black on the white half, all on a khaki cloth backing.

History note
Worn by Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) personnel attached to Royal Signals units. The number on the white part of the badge represents the Signals regiment or squadron. A number was not always shown.
https://www.iwm.org.uk/collections/item/object/30072156

EDIT : All the ATS examples do not appear to have a 'border' on the top triangle.

Here is my Signals patch which is similar, but without a number. it is 65 x 50 MM. I wondered if it might be ATS?

Terry , this is the rest of the Imperial War Museums description :

A number was not always shown. From April 1941, a similar badge, without numbers, was worn by GPO Home Guard specialist personnel engaged on essential defence communications and postal service works.

Thanks every one. I tend to think is Australian despite the excellent depiction of WW2 Brit badges. Much obliged.

agree, that does look like Aussie from that period. Construction and materials being just as crucial as actual design, as many commonwealth countries used same designs/shapes and colours for patches, particularly so with Sigs colours
