Default Indian Army Help Appreciated

Can any Forum member identify this silver badge. It is marked J&CO and hallmarked for Birmingham 1916/17. It has two silver wire pins for fixing which appear contemporary to its manufacture.

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

Kind regards, Malcolm.

That was a very fine badge. The "wires" are remains of the attachment for the rest of the badge, now broken off
