Default Unusual Grenade badge

Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help to identify this grenade badge from my collection. It measures 78mms x 48mms and the flames are all upwardly curved unlike for example a typical Grenadier Guards badge. Could it be a non British grenade?

Many thanks
Bill

Hi Bill
Not a British grenade that I am familiar with but that means very little. The flames are a bit out of focus but it doesn't look like there is another fixing unless the mark near the top is where another lug has broken off. If not, maybe it was part of a bigger badge and has broken off the rest? There appear to be some edge knocks which could be breaks perhaps?
Cheers,
Alex
